Our October calendar in the toddler class was filled with many activities, including Zoo-On-Wheels, Diwali, parent-teacher conferences, Fall Fest, and Halloween.
Zoo-On-Wheels
The children explored and learned about a variety of animals through cards, replicas, and books from ocean animals to wild animals to farm animals. The nomenclature cards and replicas help young children not only develop their language, but also explore the world around them.
They had a chance to see some animals from the zoo that visited our classroom. We recommend parents take children to the zoo occasionally to help link what the children see through pictures and replicas with the animals in real life.
Celebrations
The Diwali celebration, Fall Fest, and Halloween were great experiences for our students to be aware of history and cultures. Many thanks to our families for their support with these celebrations and festivals. The students enjoyed wearing their Halloween costumes and joining in the activities.
