The Admission Process for VFKH Montessori is as follows:
Step 1: Explore our website.
Step 2: Request our information packet either via phone or web.
Step 3: Schedule a visit – Parents will observe a classroom and meet with a school administrator. This provides you with the opportunity to see Montessori in action and have any questions answered. For this to be possible visits are parents only. Your child will have a chance to visit the school at a later date. All visits take place at 9:30 am by appointment and last for 60 to 90 minutes.
Step 4: Submit Application, including Application Fee. While we do not have an application deadline, we do advise applications be submitted by mid-February to ensure consideration for enrollment the following September. Applicants are considered as space allows and classroom balance necessitates. Children may enroll throughout the school year.
Step 5: Student interview with teacher. Please submit a small bio on your child before this meeting. This visit provides your child with the opportunity to meet their potential teacher and be introduced to materials in the classroom. Having one-on-one time with one another allows the teacher and child to get to know each another and provides the teacher with insight into your child’s readiness and learning style. This meeting also has the added benefit of introducing your child to their classroom environment prior to their first day of school. During this time parents will meet with a school administrator.
Step 6: Upon acceptance, return the Enrollment Contracts and submit Advanced Tuition and the Activity and Material Fee.
