We are saying “goodbye” to February and “hello” to March. We’re hoping that we’ll have a nice warm early Spring! Last week our class visited the Great Valley Nature Center. First of all we want to thank all of the parents (and grandparents) that so willingly and graciously transported our children. While we were there we learned about maple sugaring. The children were fascinated as they watched the sap dripping from the maple tree into the bucket. They enjoyed tasting it and then eagerly watched as the sap cooked and the water evaporated from it. Then we were able to taste the maple syrup and then later tasted maple sugar. Yum! We all enjoyed that! The children are still talking about the trip and continue to want to draw pictures that show the whole process. What a wonderful trip!
