On Wednesday, the elementary class went to the Audubon Center and had an up-close-and-personal visit with the three owls there. They learned about these and other birds of prey. They also dissected owl pellets and learned how scientists can monitor an owl population by what they eat. The children found mouse bones, including intact skulls, in these pellets. What a great hands on experience for them!
