I always say that our Limerick campus is like it’s own little sanctuary. Each day the children look out their classroom windows and have a beautiful view of green grass, many tree variations, their own pond, and visitors from the animal kingdom. Sometimes it is a busy squirrel collecting food for winter or Canadian Geese and their babies, or even one of the Blue Herons that like to make a home near our creek. Today we were visited by this bird. Is it a Owl? No. Is it a Eagle? No. Is it a Hawk? Maybe, but what kind? These are the questions the children were asking today. Seeing nature in action helps bring the lessons of the classroom to life and stimulates the students to learn more about the world around them.
