Our Last day of school was a very busy morning with all of the children working diligently. It was very much as if they had a special hidden message being passed around like little busy bees in a hive trying to accomplish a very big task. All of them were focused on a variety of work and enjoying their friendships with lots of hugs. Of course, they were also excited about summer coming, but they also didn’t want to leave school. I want to thank everyone for making this school year such a success and enjoyable one for the students. All the volunteer help from our parents was fantastic and greatly appreciated.
I would like to suggest a few summer books for our parents to read the “The Montessori Method” and “How to Raise An Amazing Child”. Both of these book gives a better insight as to why the Montessori method is so successful for both children and their parents.
One thing I personally got out of the first book “the Montessori Method”, was how interesting and important Dr. Montessori felt the need for taking on medical measurements for each student before they started school each year. These measurements helped guide Dr. Montessori with developing better methods for establishing a better life style and create a love for learning in a prepared environment. It gave the children many opportunities to discover and learn without wrongful ideas placed upon them. The whole idea of creating a place for children to learn and thrive as well as become participates in a greater community for life is just so exciting.
Another book I would highly recommend is “How to Raise an Amazing Child”. This book provides a great guide to parents with lots of opportunities for helping their children discover all of their potential in a none pressured way.
As some of you might know I will be working this summer at our wonderful camp with Mrs. Zulkoski. We have a lot of exciting activities planned for your children. I hope all of you have a safe and fantastic summer and I will see you all again in the Fall.
I hope all of you have a wonderful summer.
