The children have been working on a variety of different language skills. Many of the younger students are working on letter sounds and letter recognition as well as making simple word using the movable alphabet. As they progress throughout the years the children also enjoy writing sentences and stories or even lists using this same material. As you can see Gwen is currently making lists of items she would like to bring on her imaginary boat trip. Christopher is currently reading stories that help guide him while learning how one vowel makes another vowel change sounds in words such as “rain” and “Dave”.
