It seems unbelievable that our school year is now over. I am so proud of all of the children in our class. They have grown and matured this year and have been busily working in our class. I am especially proud of our Graduates who have accomplished so much in their years here at Valley Forge Kinder House. What fun we had together at our Graduate sleep-over as we played, worked on many crafts, ate delicious hot dogs and hamburgers that Mr. Kelly cooked on the grill and made smores. Then last Tuesday, all of the Graduates traveled in a bus to Philadelphia! We saw an amazing presentation at the Constitution Center where the children enjoyed seeing life-sized brass statues of all of the signers of the Constitution. They especially enjoyed seeing the Liberty Bell and then getting ice cream before we returned back to school. THEN….they all graduated last Wednesday evening. On Thursday all of the children had a wonderful time at our annual school picnic at Liberty Park! Thanks so much to all of the parents who volunteered to help in all of the activities and also prepare food for everyone to enjoy! We have such terrific parents (and children) and I hope you know that you are truly appreciated.
Last Friday was our last day of school and some of our children are now going to enjoy Summer Camp at VFKH at our Limerick campus. I will also have an exciting summer as I will travel to Alaska with my husband and son. I’ll share all of my experiences with the children in the Fall. I hope all of you have a wonderful summer!
