Last Friday, the children had a great time celebrating Diwali: the Festival of Lights with their friends and volunteer parents. We read a delightful book about Diwali and why we celebrate this wonderful holiday. The children were invited to dress up with traditional clothes, make beautiful sand pictures on the sidewalks, and eat a special treat. But the best part of the celebration was lighting up sparklers and gently wave them around for all to see.
