The children could not have been more excited than a visit from our neighborhood firefighters. They brought along with them their very cool red and pink fire trucks with many tall ladders and long fire hoses. Each truck was with other interesting gadgets like axes, special gauges and the siren.
The firefighters were very friendly, informative and patient with the children. They told us what kind of fires happen and how they come to help in just minutes to put them out. The firefighters answered all the important questions the curious minds of the children could come up with. They had questions about anything and everything they found in the trucks.
What made the event even more memorable was that the children got to bring home a firefighter’s hat fit for them. They were so inspired by the experience, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them become firefighters someday.
