Our class celebrated the very special holiday on April 22, Earth Day.
We talked about how beautiful and important our planet is and that this is the only home we all have. We also discussed how dismal its current state is because of what many people do to it. There are many trees being cut but there are not enough new ones getting replanted to give us shade and good quality air. There is a great amount of trash getting thrown in our oceans and and across the lands that many fish and birds sadly think are food to eat. This report saddened most of them and they would like to give Planet Earth a very special gift.
They would all like to plant trees and flowers. We will start our garden soon in our backyard and hopefully our little contribution will make our planet better very soon
