Diwali was celebrated at school with the help of several of our parents. The children learn about Diwali with a story about Rama and the demon. Then the children made beautiful sand designs on the sidewalk with special sand trays. The sand was so fine and colorful, so the children could use a lot of their sensory skills to create these wonderful designs. The children also made little diyas with playdough. The mothers prepared a delightful treat to eat and most of the children wanted more of those sweets. We want to thank all the mothers who help the children celebrate this special holiday.
