Last Friday, the Primary and Elementary students celebrated Diwali! Mr. and Mrs. Koli and Mrs. Rajeswaran taught the children about this wonderful Hindu festival of lights, sharing their own personal customs of the holiday. The children enjoyed learning about the food, the oil lamps, the clothing, and the offerings involved. Some of the girls enjoyed putting on traditional Indian clothing. Each child had the opportunity to make an offering to Lakshmi. Also, two elementary students made a rangoli on the floor with colored rice. The students loved the fireworks at the end of the ceremony! What a wonderful celebration for the students!
