Each year the children decide what decorations they want in the classroom. This year, so far, the class is adorned with paper chains, candy canes, snowflakes and little paper ornaments made from the metal insets in the classroom. We also will be celebrating Hanukkah by telling the story, playing the dreidel game, visiting Mrs. Peter’s class for the making of latkes-potato pancakes and lighting the Menorah. Additionally, we will be telling the story of the Nativity and set up a crèche in the room as the children learn about the birth of the Christ child. The children are also looking forward to their Christmas party with the coming of Santa. I hope all of you have a healthy and safe holiday during our break. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all!
