Our coffee and conversation on Positive Discipline and Redirection in the home went very well. I hope it was very informative for those parents who could attend. Knowing how to use and apply positive discipline with your child, versus using some form of punishment and reward system, can open up wonderful opportunities for parents when dealing with their child’s behavior. I would highly recommend that all parents read the following books for coping with every day issues that arise, and how your child see themselves and their world. “Positive Discipline” by Jane Nelsen, Ed. D., “How to Raise an Amazing Child The Montessori Way” by Tim Seldin and “Children Learn What They Live” by Doroethy Law Nolte and Rachel Harris. Jane Nelson also has variety of other books relating to the various stages of development, from birth to adolescence, using a positive method of discipline that are very helpful.
