This past week the students have been very busy with a variety of special events. On Thursday despite the rain the children for the first time were able to start working in the gardens. They each got the chance to weed and plant seeds. The vegetable garden was also weeded and planted with the help of our volunteer parents. I want to thank everyone for helping the children enjoy this experience.
On Friday the children got the chance to have Mr. Pierson visit with his toucan bird “Linus”. This was a beautiful bird of many colors and very interesting for the children ask many questions about.
Also On Friday the MUPS, had their sleepover at the school with the teachers and Miss Molly. Despite the rain only lasting at the beginning of the event the children were totally enjoying themselves. We ate a delicious dinner, had a fun filled event making several crafts about space, then the children make s’mores by the grill. The next morning we ate breakfast, went outdoors to play and ending out great event with a wonderful puppet and song time thanks to Mrs. Waurick.
