What a joyous and busy month we had in December! The children enjoyed learning about Hanukkah and the miracle of lights with the lighting of the menorah, playing the dreidel game and exchanging coins, and listening to our Hanukkah stories.
The children worked very hard to prepare for the arrival of Christmas by making tree tags for our Giving Tree for special families in need. They also made a special gift for their parents, practiced writing holiday words and stories, sang a million songs, and enjoyed a special Christmas party with Santa.
Practicing Counting Skills
The children are utilizing their counting skills and developing a better understanding of math concepts on a daily basis by adding and subtracting numbers with our math materials. Learning how to count through a variety of songs, such as the Twelve Days of Christmas, and counting everything in sight seems to be happening all the time.
I want to thank everyone for helping us give our families in need a special holiday and making their lives a little bit less stressful. It was greatly appreciated and I hope all of you had a wonderful winter break.
