Our February had some rather unusual weather and the children have noticed all of the rapid changes. One day it is very cold and then a few days later it is very hot. But, the one thing that the children have truly noticed is that spring is on its way even if the groundhog said six more weeks of winter. In the garden, the children are observing the changes to our snowdrops and the arrival of our crocus.
We also celebrated Valentine’s Day and President’s Day with stories and a card party.
Geography
Many of the children are working very hard in our geography area these past few months. They are learning about their world and the many different cultures. Some of the children are reading or writing stories about their discoveries and others are working on making their own maps.
Our world is a fantastic place and the children have a million questions about it. Now is a great time to talk about your own family trees and where your ancestors are from.
