The children are truly beginning to settle into the class routine by working with a variety of new and reviewing lessons each day. They are taking on more and more responsibilities for both caring for themselves and their environment.
Classroom Jobs
Each of the older children chose a few shelves to be the guardian and care for them. This means making sure they are kept orderly and prepared for their classmates when they want to use the materials on that shelf. The younger students also take on smaller jobs, but just as important as the big kids by pushing in chairs, sweeping the floor, rolling up mats, and replacing lost materials to their proper places.
Fun Events
We have a wonderful community and the children are totally engaged. Our September calendar was filled with a variety of events such as our “Back to School Night,” the September Social, and a visit from the Limerick Fire Company.
Please be sure to review the Parent Handbook and our school website for information and upcoming events.
