The MUPS had a wonderful time visiting all the historical places in Philadelphia. They toured throughout
the city learning about the talents and life style of Benjamin Franklin. He was an amazing man for his
time. The children saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, The first Library, the Signer statue and
Carpenters’ Hall, the First Fire company and Betsy Ross’ house. They walked through the alley to Ben’s
court yard and saw the frame work of Ben’s house, as well as, his printers’ workshop where they saw
how to print documents. After lunch in the courtyard the children had a wonderful time exploring the Ben
Franklin Museum and discovered all the inventions and story of his life. They even had the chance to
learn about Ben’s pet squirrel. It was a fantastic day and the children loved it all.
