It may be a short week but the Elementary class has been hard at work. On Monday, after hearing a little about Pythagoras, three ambitious ladies set out to create larger and larger triangles in the 3 to 4 to 5 ratio studied by Pythagoreans. Each new triangle was double the measurement of the prior triangle. This work quickly outgrew the classroom and continued in the gym. Next week they will learn about the Pythagorean Theorem. Who knows what they will get up to after that!
Part of the morning on Tuesday was dedicated to baking up delicious treats for the Thanksgiving Luncheon. One group made Brazilian Cheese Rolls and two others Garlic Cheese Biscuits. These all look delicious! Unfortunately, we realized to late that the Brazilian bites were missing their eggs. They still look yummy, just not quite what they were meant to be.
Some of the other happenings this week include: Machu Pic
chu exploration, delving into American Fables and sharing their creative creations at Creative Corner.
