Hello and welcome to a brand new school year. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you better at our up-coming events, such as our New Parent Orientation Night, Back to School night, and our Open House. The Open House gives the students the opportunity to show you what they are working on in class each day.
Let me introduce myself just a bit to you. In the early 80’s I attended West Chester University for my Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I then went on to obtained my Montessori Primary Teacher degree from Washington Montessori Institute in Washington D.C., this is now a part of Loyola University in Maryland. I started working at Valley Forge Kinder House as a summer camp counselor when I was in tenth grade, when my younger brother Christopher joined the school at the time. I fell in love with the camp and became very interested in the Montessori Method of teaching children, so much in fact that I stayed and haven’t left. This year will be my twenty-sixth year in teaching and I truly love working with children in a Montessori environment where they thrive and discover so many things about themselves and their world.
I am currently looking for an added room mother or father to help out this year with all of our holiday events. If you would like to know more about this or are already interested please just give me a call. You can easily reach me by email or by making a phone call to our office during hours and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I hope all of you are also looking forward to this exciting year.
