Our students are always discovering new interest. This week has brought the discovery of water and what it can do. This interest was sparked by the children discussing how adding water to something can make it change into something new, such as milk into ice cream. The children wanted to know more, like what kind of changes water might have. Our current experiment is to observe what happens to water each hour of the day in our sample cups. We also placed the cups in the freezer and, wow, we got ice. Now we will set the ice out to see what happens next. Placing the water cups outside during different times of the day will bring even more new discoveries. Why don’t you try this experiment at home with your child and see what else might happen. Don’t forget to take notes and share your discoveries with the class.
