The children had a wonderful time yesterday at the Mill at Anselma. They watched the water leave the holding pool and rush into the Mill where the big water wheel began spinning around. The children were then able to see how corn kernels are ground into fine dust as they were crushed by the large two ton mill stones. They had so many “hands-on” experiences that we talked about all morning and afternoon, but their favorite thing of the day was making pancakes and especially eating them!
