The children in the elementary class work with a diverse set of materials that range from first to sixth grade. The math materials are a wonderful example of how the children can sensorially explore how to do various types of mathematics. Two of these pictures show different forms of math in the elementary–one is long multiplication with the Chequer Board, and one is Powers of Numbers, exploring the exponential notation of 3.
The third picture is all of the students singing and doing movements to a song called “Baby Shark.” Music is a constant in the elementary and is fun for all ages. It is exciting to watch children as young as 5 and as old as 12 get together for a song they all love!
