As part of Fire Prevention Week, the Limerick Fire Company visited VFKH. The firemen talked to our students about fire safety, such as Stop-Drop-Roll and how/when to call 911. The best part of the visit for the children was the tour of the firetruck. The children ‘ooh-ed’ and ‘ahh-ed’ over every bit of the big, shiny truck. Each student even got to climb in and out of the truck like a real fire-fighter. Thank you to the Limerick Fire company for visiting VFKH and answering all the burning questions from our inquisitive students. Don’t forget to check your smoke alarms and practice emergency techniques at home.
