The afterschool chess program was a big success! The children seemed to be very excited about learning what each piece on the board could do and how to play the game with a friend. Of course when it was time to end the session all I could hear the children say was “OH NO! Not yet, we still want to play.” If you are interested in having your child join the group on Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. we would love to have them be a part of the group.
