On Wednesday, April 20th, Abby Walker, a theater instructor of more than 20 years in the New York and Connecticut area, came to share some of her knowledge with the elementary students. She engaged them in several activities, including helping them to get to know their character/s, including their posture and how they talk, to enunciate and project their voices, to feel the atmosphere or mood of the scene, and to find the character’s role within the scene. They also learned the parts of the stage and how to utilize those parts well. What a wonderful experience for our growing thespians!
