Who is Nam? If you’re an elementary parent, you probably have heard this name recently. Well, here’s the scoop: Nam is a senior at Conestoga High School who is interning here at our school because he is interested in Montessori Education as a possible career path. We are thrilled to have him for the month of May! He was born in Vietnam and grew up in Germany, and he is an exchange student living with a host family for the past year. He speaks several languages and loves math and music. He has begun to share his talents with the class and they already have a great appreciation for him! He enjoys receiving lessons from the students, talking with them and writing stories with them (the picture shows a group of students reading a story with him yesterday), and helping students in areas like geography, math, and music. He eats lunch with them and plays with them at recess, and the students are benefiting from his gentle guidance and mature wisdom. Nam is an exuberant young man who seems to really enjoy working with our elementary students, and we are happy to have him!
