The Vocabulary Enrichment Cards are one of many materials in the language area that focus on spoke language. The two different types of classified cards are Social and Scientific. They are both used in the same manner and the purpose is to enrich the child’s vocabulary. This is accomplished by using realistic pictures of objects and animals that the child has some previous experience. For example, social cards may have pictures of Montessori Materials, objects found in a kitchen or things found on a playground. Scientific cards are also cards with realistic pictures of vegetables, flowers or animals.

Continued use of the Vocabulary Enrichment Cards has a profound effect on how the child is able to communicate more fully with others.
