Pink Tower

This material helps children develop visual discrimination of size in three dimensions.

The Pink Tower is one of the first materials that the child experiences when working in the Sensorial area of the classroom. The tower consists of ten wooden pink cubes that vary in size from 1 cubic cm to 10 cubic cm. This series of cubes develops visual discrimination of size in three dimensions. It also aids in the development of muscular control of the hand and arm. Although this exercise is directed towards a younger child, all children in the classroom are attracted to its color and building possibilities.
