History

Valley Forge Kinder House Montessori School (VFKH) was founded in 1977 by Susan and Edward Kelly. The Kellys, already committed to the Montessori Method, wanted an excellent school for their own children. Susan, an AMI trained educator, started the first class in Wayne, Pa with her one-year old daughter in tow. Over thirty years, and four Kelly children later, the same focus holds. Continuing in the tradition of keeping the perspective of the child paramount, the VFKH classrooms are filled with developmentally appropriate activities, carefully chosen, beautifully prepared and equipped to communicate to the children that these classrooms are a special place just for them.

VFKH is present in both Montgomery County and Chester County, as a part of the Phoenixville's community for over 30 years and Limerick's for over 15 years. In 2003 VFKH established the only AMI Montessori recognised Elementary in Eastern Pennsylvania.
